आँखे हमारे जीवन का आइना होती है आँखों के बिना जीवन अंधकारमय हो जाता है इसलिए आँखों कीसुरक्षा करना बहुत ज़रूरी होता है ,पॉल्यूशन की वजह से आजकल हमारी आँखों की तकलीफे बढ़ गयी है , आइये हम अपने आँखों की देखभाल करके उन्हें स्वस्थ कैसे रख सकते है ,अगस्त के फूल का नाम तो आपने सुना हे होगा पर ये सिर्फ फूल हे नहीं हमारी आँखों के लिए अमृत का काम करता है.

अगर आपको आँखों से धुंधला दिखाई देता है तो अगस्त के फूल पीस कर उसके रस की दो या तीन बूँद आँख में डालने आँखों धुंधलापन ठीक हो जाता है और रोज प्रयोग करने से आंखो की धुंधली परत हट जाती है

अगस्त के फूलो को जब तोड़ते है तो उसके अंदर से शहद निकलता है इस शहद को आँखों में डालने से आँखों की रौशनी बढ़ती है. 260 ग्राम अगस्त के पत्तो को पीसकर इसमें 1 किलो गाय का घी पका ले फिर 10 ग्राम की मात्रा में दिन में दो बार खाये आँखों के सभी सामान्य रोग ठीक हो जायेगे. जिसको रतोंधी की बीमारी है उसे दिन में दो से तीन बार इसके पत्तो की सब्जी या साग खाना चाहिए. इससे ये बीमारी बिलकुल ठीक हो जाती है.
